The virtual communications channels (VPN) provision services are, in terms of economy, the most affordable alternative version of providing the lease of private communications channels for interconnecting the operators' IP-networks.
The VPN service is provided based upon Rascom's own network and assures for connecting the customer's local networks in a "point-to-point" configuration. Rascom makes provision of a data transmission rate ranging from 64 kbps to 1 Gbps.

Service consists of transporting the Customer's Ethernet-traffic between the Operator's points of presence (PoP-to-PoP). The service presupposes transporting the traffic over the Operator's IP-network and switching it to Level 2 (MPLS). It is assumed that there exist alternative ways for the traffic to pass and they will be used if the main route is inaccessible.

Ethernet over SDH or Ethernet over DWDM

Service consists of transporting the Customer's Ethernet-traffic between the Operator's points of presence (PoP-to-PoP). The service presupposes transporting the traffic over Operator's SDH or DWDM network without switching it to Level 2. It is not assumed that there exist alternative ways for the traffic to pass and they will be used if the main route is inaccessible.
