July 2008

Capacity of CJSC RASCOM's own backbone fiber-optic network has substantially increased thanks to usage made of transponders featuring bandwidth of 40 Gbps, its reliability grew higher, too, due to the possibility to transmit traffic over alternative independent routes which, in the long run, has assured maximum efficiency of investments into the network infrastructure being created.

The company RASCOM is launching in operation a new DWDM system at the route Moascow - Stockholm .

April 2008

Rascom can arrange Ethernet-channels to Frankfurt featuring a bandwidth of up to 8 Gbps.

January 2008

New DWDM system has been launched at the route Moscow - Stockholm. The system is based on the Nortel-manufactured CPL equipment and permits to establish up to 72 wavelengths, the total traffic transmission rate being equal to 720 Gbps and more.

December 2007

CJSC RASCOM IP-network up-grade projet completed. As a result of project implementation, interfaces have been widened up to 11Gbps with Russian and foreign networks.

June 2007

Company's own network construction finalized at the route Russian-Finnish Border - Helsinki - Stockholm.

June 2006

Additional STM-64-level backbone route construction completed at the section Russian-Finnish Border - Saint-Petersburg - Bologoye - Moscow (M9).
